t-2 tulip "meriken" sewing needles

Do you like hand sewing? I do. There is something about the ever slight puffiness of the hand sewn stitches. It makes me happy.

The naming "meriken" comes actually from the fact this was initially imported from the USA. The eyes are oblong and there is a slight groove on top of the eye. The tip is also acute. Those made in Hiroshima has a very smooth surface also (Did you know that the needle industry in Hiroshima dates back 300 years, and close to 75% of what is produced is now exported outside of Japan?). They also do not warp easily. This particular size is suited for medium weight fabric.

Please note that the colors you see on the screen may not be accurate as each monitor displays differently. Thank you for your understanding.
