Habu Textiles was founded in 1999. We are a showroom/gallery and an actual weaving studio. We are also a shop, to provide a large selection of imported Japanese and Asian yarns, which was opened in 2001. Our farbics carries no specific purposes. Many of them are used for one-of-a-kind clothing and other unique pieces, however we do not restrict making of fabrics by suggesting the end usage. Weavers are left free. They can be subtle, delicate or wild and innovative free of styles or trends of the time. We simply look for beautiful fabrics, which will last. Whatever they will become - that depends on the customer's imagination. Our yarns carries no specific purposes, either... The selection is over 300 including stainless steel, bamboo, ramie, paper, etc., and what you will do with them? Up to you. We will be happy to advise. We are located on 29th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues (We are not on street level, but on the 8th floor!) in a garment district - only 3 blocks from Madison Square Garden and 2 1/2 blocks from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Nearest subway station is no. 1 (28th St. Station) or R (28th St. Station). You can also take any trains, which will come to the 34th Street Station (Pennsylvania Station). You are only a few blocks from us. For the exact address, please click "contact". |
