There is virtually no twist in the yarn, so it is very soft and shiny. Twice as heavy as NS-22. You may knit with this yarn, but because of the minimal twist in the yarn, the silk filament tends to get caught in rough hands. You may want to try NS-28 for knitting with tram yarn. Dyes very well.
