Much heavier than NOS-1 & also the color is darker and deeper brown. This particular yarn is made from the "stem" (looking thing), a part of the unusual large brown tassar silk cocoons. Once it is washed, the fiber softens greatly. Extremely softly spun, so a bit tricky to work with. Please go gentle unwinding, and also when you are knitting. Do not use a heavy needle and force it into the stitch. The color and the weight of this yarn is not stable. Please take what you see. |
