It is greatly softer than the regular wool crepe. It shrinks and pleats approx. 32% after washed. (like Issey Miyake's Pleats Pleats.) Please do not handle with wet hands or fingers. Traditionally used for kimono fabrics like Tango chirimen, etc. If you are using this yarn as a warp, we strongly suggest using a sectional warping back beam for the minimal touching of the yarn. Please avoid any moisture, which may take off the starch on the surface of the yarn until woven. If you are a machine knitter, you may be able to get a very interesting effect. This is a Z twist crepe. Please play! (The cone is antique. Please keep them after use. There are also wool crepe (NS-2B), silk crepe (NS-7/NS-8) or cotton crepe (N-40) available.
