This particular one comes from Indonesia, but we used to have them in Japan (in silk!) It is wild when you knit or crochet this with a large needle or with your own fingers even. Very sculptural. The surface of this yarn is coated persimmon tannin for an additional strength. (Persimmon tannins is traditionally a water proofing material.)
